In the 7th minute, Munroe Brien ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albert Shirdon was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 10 minutes into the game, Kent Barling cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Albert Shirdon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 16th match minute, Manly FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stevie Gerrard to maneuver through the defense. Manly FC's Burtt Cusbert suffered a concussion in the 18th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cain Magnay during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rodborough's Cain Magnay got a free kick in the 20th minute. With a little luck, Rodborough's Albert Shirdon got control of the ball when Stevie Gerrard tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute, Kent Barling left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manly FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After 31 minutes of play, Manly FC's Stevie Gerrard made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Albert Shirdon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bryan Fenwick kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Stevie Gerrard struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Albert Shirdon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manly FC. In the 37th minute Kent Barling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albert Shirdon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodborough's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Stevie Gerrard scored to the left of an out of position Albert Shirdon, making the score, 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niles Kuskoff in the 46th minute of play forced Rodborough's goalkeeper Albert Shirdon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Drake Wilde was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rodborough's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manly FC the free kick. In the 47th minute, Drake Wilde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 49 minutes, Kent Barling put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Albert Shirdon. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bickford Cochrane to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Rodborough's Bryan Fenwick got a free kick in the 54th minute. After having played for 55 minutes, Stevie Gerrard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manly FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stevie Gerrard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Albert Shirdon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stevie Gerrard in the 63rd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Kent Barling had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Albert Shirdon. Rodborough's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kent Barling was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Kent Barling scored 8-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Albert Shirdon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 72 played minutes Rodborough got a freekick which was hit by Ren Burton. In the 76th minute, Kent Barling ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albert Shirdon was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodborough's Cain Magnay slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kirby Chant. That made the score 9-1 after 81 minutes of play. In the 85th minute, Niles Kuskoff got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cullen Fordham in the 86th minute of play forced Rodborough's goalkeeper Albert Shirdon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fletcher Brennand's late challenge caught a Rodborough's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fletcher Brennand helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Rodborough booed when Manly FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fletcher Brennand didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rodborough's Bickford Cochrane in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Manly FC's goalie prevented a goal. A hard shot 94 in the game by Bickford Cochrane from a close distance when the talented Kirby Chant managed to make a qualified save. Manly FC's players were relieved. 97 minutes into the match, Rodborough's goal looked a bit too open when Cullen Fordham came free, but Albert Shirdon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albert Shirdon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Barling, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manly FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
