The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thomas Thomas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reginald Callaghan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Barling in the 9th minute of the match. Kirby Chant made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Keefe Fulton sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Manly FC booed when Leeton United FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Darley Lovis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Munroe Brien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Reginald Callaghan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kent Barling kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Stevie Gerrard took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reginald Callaghan. Reginald Callaghan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Manly FC's Marcus Didlick got a free kick in the 37th minute. Kirby Chant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darley Lovis in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute Leeton United FC were awarded a corner. Keefe Fulton went to the cornerflag to take it. Kirby Chant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Keefe Fulton in the 41st minute of play. Manly FC's Kirby Chant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darley Lovis in the 44th minute of play. A collision led to Manly FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Marcus Didlick hit a great ball. Thomas Thomas struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Kirby Chant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leeton United FC. In the 48th minute, Darley Lovis made a precise shot to the right of Kirby Chant. Manly FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Keefe Fulton to make the kick off. When %teams%'s Kent Barling was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 1-2 just inside the left pole, 60 minutes into the game. Reginald Callaghan was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. Marcus Didlick kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Leeton United FC's Reginald Callaghan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Leeton United FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Keefe Fulton in the 71st minute of play forced Manly FC's goalkeeper Kirby Chant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Leeton United FC booed when Manly FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Neale Franklin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manly FC's Cullen Fordham was substituted for Munroe Brien. After a rather tough play, Leeton United FC's Rudolph Jackson got a free kick in the 81st minute. Stevie Gerrard hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. If Thomas Thomas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Darley Lovis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kirby Chant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over Manly FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Leeton United FC throughout the match.
