In the 10th minute, AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's Rick Kile ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arty Hands. Arty Hands yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dwight Jeffress during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Dwight Jeffress hit a great ball. When Ralph Turner came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burns Lenard in the 36th minute of play forced AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's goalkeeper Rufus Haydock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Burns Lenard hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Otto Dillon to strike the kick off in the second half. Rufus Haydock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cregan Convine in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th match minute, AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Artie Mccarthy to maneuver through the defense. Flying Hellfish's Cregan Convine got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rufus Haydock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Burns Lenard, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Ralph Turner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rufus Haydock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otto Dillon in the 67th minute of the match. Arty Hands took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rick Kile, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB. Arty Hands came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's Rick Kile. But to his dismay, Rick Kile quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Artie Mccarthy was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 95 minutes into the match. Rufus Haydock had in the 97thth minute some difficulties stopping Cregan Convine's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Cregan Convine notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB's Rufus Haydock. Rufus Haydock was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. For all the effort they put into the match, the Flying Hellfish players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for AUSTRAL BOWLING CLUB.
