Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Berkeley Glover in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eddie Sparrow prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Frenchville Sports Club booed when Australian Youth Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dakota Gaffigan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Damon Waters could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Dani Cochrane made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Olliver Todman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eddie Sparrow was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Eddie Sparrow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lauder Fitzsimmons, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Frenchville Sports Club's Damon Waters sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dani Cochrane narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Australian Youth Academy's Dani Cochrane got control of the ball when Damon Waters tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th minute Lauder Fitzsimmons shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eddie Sparrow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Damon Waters made a kick off. Dani Cochrane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reese Oconnell in the 57th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Reese Oconnell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dani Cochrane was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 61st minute, Berkeley Glover ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eddie Sparrow was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 65 minutes into the game, Dakota Gaffigan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eddie Sparrow. Dakota Gaffigan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Olliver Todman struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Eddie Sparrow didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Australian Youth Academy. Frenchville Sports Club's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Olliver Todman scored to the left of an out of position Eddie Sparrow, making the score, 1-3. Eddie Sparrow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dakota Gaffigan, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. When Hank Bleazard fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Australian Youth Academy's protests and gave Hank Bleazard a yellow card for diving instead. Reese Oconnell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eddie Sparrow took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olliver Todman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Australian Youth Academy getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Olliver Todman hit a great ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Australian Youth Academy had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
