Australian Youth Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berkeley Glover was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olliver Todman in the 15th minute of play forced Ayla FC's goalkeeper Justin Cowdell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justin Cowdell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antony Cuddihy, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. When Australian Youth Academy's Olliver Todman in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a rather tough play, Ayla FC's Ben Sedgman got a free kick in the 44th minute. Justin Cowdell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Neville Schutt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Ayla FC's Burt Biddell ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ollie Flesfadar. Ollie Flesfadar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0.

The wind increased when Olliver Todman made the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olliver Todman in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Justin Cowdell saved Ayla FC from getting behind. Olliver Todman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Justin Cowdell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Burt Biddell hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Antony Cuddihy charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antony Cuddihy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 62nd minute, Antony Cuddihy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Justin Cowdell didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 65th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. Dakota Gaffigan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
