A collision led to Frenchville Sports Club getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Richard Nunn hit a great ball. A hard shot by Neville Schutt from long distance, 32 minutes into the match, got Edward Magrath's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 33 minutes Frenchville Sports Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Neville Schutt who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Neville Schutt almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Frenchville Sports Club's Edward Magrath did a great save. 36 minutes into the match, Australian Youth Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Deal came free, but Ollie Flesfadar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edward Magrath didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olliver Todman went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After 44 minutes, Braedan Duncan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Australian Youth Academy and the Frenchville Sports Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Australian Youth Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braedan Duncan to maneuver through the defense. 47 minutes into the match, Kyle Deal notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Australian Youth Academy's Ollie Flesfadar. Ollie Flesfadar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Curtis Mckinnes got free with Ollie Flesfadar in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ollie Flesfadar came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Frenchville Sports Club's Curtis Mckinnes. But to his dismay, Curtis Mckinnes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Neville Schutt hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olliver Todman in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edward Magrath saved Frenchville Sports Club from getting behind. 78 minutes into the match, Frenchville Sports Club's goal looked a bit too open when Berkeley Glover came free, but Edward Magrath reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Curtis Mckinnes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frenchville Sports Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Curtis Mckinnes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ollie Flesfadar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Everett Kiel kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 84th match minute, Frenchville Sports Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Nunn to maneuver through the defense. Kris Franklin kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Neville Schutt might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edward Magrath. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Neville Schutt ran back to his position shaking his head. Evan Millar charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Evan Millar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Neville Schutt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Australian Youth Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Neville Schutt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edward Magrath breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 94 minutes, Curtis Mckinnes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frenchville Sports Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Curtis Mckinnes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 97 minutes, Kyle Deal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Frenchville Sports Club and the Australian Youth Academy players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Frenchville Sports Club eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
