Domingos Bobadilla who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Artal Fondos when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Artal Fondos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Domingos Bobadilla went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Loco Team FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Sauveur Agües hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Linterna verde's Licerio Alborza got a free kick in the 25th minute. A collision led to Linterna verde getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Licerio Alborza hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Loco Team FC's zone, Paz Arciniega stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artal Fondos came out of the goal and Paz Arciniega tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ladislao Prat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Paz Arciniega came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Linterna verde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paz Arciniega couldn't finish the play. If Gaueko Sevillano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elvio Noreña to make the kick off. In the 58th minute Gaueko Sevillano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artal Fondos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Domingos Bobadilla in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Artal Fondos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Artal Fondos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaueko Sevillano's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After a rather tough play, Loco Team FC's Sauveur Agües got a free kick in the 63rd minute. In the 64th minute of the match Paz Arciniega shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Artal Fondos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Artal Fondos came out of the goal and Ladislao Prat tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ladislao Prat struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Artal Fondos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Linterna verde. Sarracino Sarries charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sarracino Sarries the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Loco Team FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Sarracino Sarries hit a great ball. If Elvio Noreña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Loco Team FC booed when Linterna verde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Licerio Alborza didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86 minutes, Arnaldo Vado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Loco Team FC and the Linterna verde players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match clock showed 88 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Paz Arciniega sped through Loco Team FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Artal Fondos. Loco Team FC's Artal Fondos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingos Bobadilla in the 91st minute of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Linterna verde fully deserved thier win.
