The referee ignored Chivos de Punto Fijo's protests and gave Rosalio Azpiazu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Chivos de Punto Fijo getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Rosalio Azpiazu hit a great ball. Paz Arciniega struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Martin Pasqua didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Linterna verde. The Chivos de Punto Fijo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chivos de Punto Fijo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
