Cordarell Rapado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermelando Berraondo in the 44th minute of the match. Canteranos Fc's Cordarell Rapado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ray Peña in the 46th minute of play. In the 48th minute Ray Peña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cordarell Rapado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 95th minute, one of Canteranos Fc:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Canteranos Fc. After some careless play in the Canteranos Fc defense, Ray Peña kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cordarell Rapado. The Canteranos Fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cordarell Rapado should have stopped the shot.
