After 3 minutes, Juan Perlacia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletico Aragua FC and the Alianza FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Alianza FC booed when Atletico Aragua FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Perlacia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Santana Candolias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boni Arregui having to interfere. 5 minutes into the game, Eriberto Gavela recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Boni Arregui. Eriberto Gavela showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Cayo Leguade kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Henry Boces stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remigio Cerezo's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. A collision led to Alianza FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Cayo Leguade hit a great ball. The supporters of Alianza FC booed when Atletico Aragua FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juaneizu Abellaneda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute Blas Terres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Boces saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Eriberto Gavela kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Boni Arregui. That made the score 2-0 in the 19 minute of play. The supporters of Atletico Aragua FC booed when Alianza FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Naelio Pellin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute Remigio Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Boces saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remigio Cerezo charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remigio Cerezo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Remigio Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Santana Candolias hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Henry Boces showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Osoitz Nadal in the 31st minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Alianza FC's goal looked a bit too open when Osoitz Nadal came free, but Henry Boces reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henry Boces came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico Aragua FC's Remigio Cerezo. But to his dismay, Remigio Cerezo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Gavela in the 46th minute of play forced Atletico Aragua FC's goalkeeper Boni Arregui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 53 played minutes Alianza FC got a freekick which was hit by Barros Sirguero. 54 minutes into the match, Alianza FC's goalkeeper Henry Boces had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Melchor Quadros. After 55 played minutes Alianza FC got a freekick which was hit by Cayo Leguade. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eriberto Gavela in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Boni Arregui saved Atletico Aragua FC from getting behind. If Blas Terres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th match minute, Atletico Aragua FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Madaleno Salvatierra to maneuver through the defense. 78 minutes into the match, Atletico Aragua FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eriberto Gavela came free, but Boni Arregui reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Naelio Pellin in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boni Arregui prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Santana Candolias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alianza FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Santana Candolias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boni Arregui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Henry Boces made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Osoitz Nadal sent off a good shot on target. In the 95th match minute, Atletico Aragua FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Madaleno Salvatierra to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Alianza FC had won after a very even match.
