Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blas Terres in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Honrio Moñiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute, Iliana Vielva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Remigio Cerezo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Honrio Moñiz made a huge save. If Blas Terres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 39 played minutes Real Unión CF got a freekick which was hit by Soter Cacho. Honrio Moñiz made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Remigio Cerezo sent off a good shot on target. A hard shot 42 in the game by Remigio Cerezo from a close distance when the talented Honrio Moñiz managed to make a qualified save. Real Unión CF's players were relieved. In the 46th minute Iliana Vielva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boni Arregui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Blas Terres to strike the kick off in the second half. Txilar Laures kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Boni Arregui made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Soter Cacho sent off a good shot on target. Honrio Moñiz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remigio Cerezo's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 64thth minute of the game Remigio Cerezo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Unión CF's Honrio Moñiz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remigio Cerezo in the 68th minute of play forced Real Unión CF's goalkeeper Honrio Moñiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute, Blas Terres made a precise shot to the right of Honrio Moñiz. Real Unión CF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico Aragua FC's zone, Ildefonso Cuello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boni Arregui came out of the goal and Ildefonso Cuello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Blas Terres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Honrio Moñiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 84 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Real Unión CF! Soter Cacho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Boni Arregui made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Atletico Aragua FC's Remigio Cerezo got a free kick in the 94th minute. Honrio Moñiz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Blas Terres in the 95th minute of play. Real Unión CF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
