Attilio Torelli came free with the goalkeeper in the 5th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Davide Cavaliere could save by the left post. Alexander Forte's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 7thth minute, Davide Cavaliere skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Palestra14 booed when Dexter Morgan VR46 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franco Bobbio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute Alberigo Di Nucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferruccio Salerni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Alexander Forte was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palestra14's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dexter Morgan VR46 the free kick. After 19 played minutes Palestra14 got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Forte. Ferruccio Salerni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Di Nucci in the 31st minute of play. Frank Sammartino kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Attilio Torelli got free with Davide Cavaliere in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the match, Alberigo Di Nucci had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferruccio Salerni. Palestra14's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberigo Di Nucci was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Palestra14's Ferruccio Salerni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franco Bobbio in the 38th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Concetto Lozzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Dexter Morgan VR46's Davide Cavaliere got control of the ball when Attilio Torelli tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dino Colucci during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Attilio Torelli in the 78th minute of play forced Dexter Morgan VR46's goalkeeper Davide Cavaliere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferruccio Salerni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberigo Di Nucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabio Zoccali kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Franco Penna kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ferruccio Salerni. That made the score 0-2 in the 81 minute of play. In the 85th minute, Franco Penna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ferruccio Salerni. The goal made the score 0-3. Alexander Forte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st match minute, Dexter Morgan VR46 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberigo Di Nucci to maneuver through the defense. Davide Cavaliere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Forte in the 92nd minute of the match. The Dexter Morgan VR46 supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dexter Morgan VR46 would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
