The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Achille Valeri to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Frank Meazza mouthed his way into the referee's book. Attilio Bearzot received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Franco Roberto came out and tried to block the shot, but Attilio Bearzot slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 69th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ettore Zuccarini during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 83 played minutes A.S. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
