After 6 minutes PowerHawKings's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adriano Santoro who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Maritek FC's corner Adriano Santoro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Carmine Passalacqua quite easily take care of the ball. Beppe Bassani's late challenge caught a PowerHawKings's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beppe Bassani helped the player get up and apologised. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Adriano Santoro sped through PowerHawKings's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carmine Passalacqua. After a defensive mix-up in PowerHawKings's zone, Anthony Di Tullio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carmine Passalacqua came out of the goal and Anthony Di Tullio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute of the match, Aurelio Cocca got a very nice opportunity to score, but Carmine Passalacqua was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 20 played minutes PowerHawKings got a freekick which was hit by Alvise Iannotti. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bianco Sampo during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A hard shot by Adriano Santoro from long distance, 24 minutes into the match, got Carmine Passalacqua's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 27th minute Anthony Di Tullio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmine Passalacqua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 29 played minutes Maritek FC got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Di Tullio. After 31 played minutes Maritek FC got a freekick which was hit by Damiano Raffa. In the 34th minute, Aurelio Cocca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aurelio Marchegiani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domenico Stella, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurelio Cocca in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carmine Passalacqua prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Maritek FC defense, Anthony Di Loreto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aurelio Marchegiani. The Maritek FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aurelio Marchegiani should have stopped the shot. Maritek FC's Anthony Di Tullio got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 61 played minutes PowerHawKings got a freekick which was hit by Bianco Sampo. Carmine Passalacqua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Cocca, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Carmine Passalacqua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beppe Bassani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, PowerHawKings's Anthony Di Loreto got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 75th match minute, Maritek FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Beppe Bassani to maneuver through the defense. Maritek FC were furious when Camillo Salomone was red carded, 77 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 77th minute, one of Maritek FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Maritek FC. When the match had been going on for 79 minutes, PowerHawKings's Domenico Stella got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Aurelio Marchegiani. When Daniele Gaudino came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Maritek FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniele Gaudino couldn't finish the play. PowerHawKings's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
