After 2 played minutes AC Collins got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Lemma. In the 6th minute Alfredo Lemma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Causio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Alfredo Lemma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th match minute, Zola Predosa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amos Piattelli to maneuver through the defense. Alfonso Vittorio, 17 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Zola Predosa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Domenico Graziani came free, but Florian Causio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florian Causio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiano Del Papa, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, AC Collins's goalkeeper Cristoforo Giacomini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberigo Milani. Alfredo Lemma might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Florian Causio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfredo Lemma ran back to his position shaking his head. Zola Predosa FC's Florian Causio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabiano Del Papa in the 36th minute of play. When Fabiano Del Papa, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 36 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Florian Causio was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Domenico Graziani fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Collins's protests and gave Domenico Graziani a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, AC Collins's Alfredo Lemma got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberigo Milani got free with Cristoforo Giacomini in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Del Papa in the 46th minute of play forced Zola Predosa FC's goalkeeper Florian Causio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabiano Del Papa to make the kick off. Florian Causio made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Alfredo Lemma sent off a good shot on target. 57 minutes into the game, Damiano Mansueto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zola Predosa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AC Collins the free kick. After 57 played minutes Zola Predosa FC got a freekick which was hit by Damiano Mansueto. AC Collins made a substitution. Cesare Trentini replaced Carlo Martano. AC Collins made a substitution. Alberigo Rosa replaced Ferdinando Tamburrini. AC Collins's Dave Marrone was substituted for Domenico Graziani. The supporters of AC Collins booed when Zola Predosa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damiano Mansueto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florian Causio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabiano Del Papa went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 90th minute, Alberigo Milani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st play minute Cesare Trentini came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Florian Causio. 0-3. Cesare Trentini kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. When the match was over AC Collins could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Zola Predosa FC throughout the match.
