Fortunato Malvezzi spun around in front of the goal 45 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of AC Collins's goal. Ferruccio Di Fiore hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arturo Ferraro was the one to do the kick off. When Cosimo Scevola fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Dave Marrone could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Arrigo Del Grosso made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dave Marrone got free with Arrigo Del Grosso in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute, Alfredo Lemma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Duri come il marmo defense, Dave Marrone kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arrigo Del Grosso. The Duri come il marmo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arrigo Del Grosso should have stopped the shot.
