Spectators: 170 (Terracing: 128, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Armando Villa started the match with the kick off. When Felice Burgnich fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Acilia Town's protests and gave Felice Burgnich a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Felice Burgnich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 5th minute Damiano De Zorzi suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Enrico Testi's late challenge caught a Aversa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enrico Testi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th minute, Enrico Testi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, Acilia Town's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Oddi came free, but Damiano Castagna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Aversa getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Emilio Oddi hit a great ball. Aversa's Flavio Fantozzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Villa in the 16th minute of play. Aurelio Mameli kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Ciro Punta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Damiano Castagna made a huge save. 25 minutes into the game, Acilia Town's Armando Villa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Flavio Fantozzi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 28 played minutes, Acilia Town's Aurelio Mameli shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Flavio Fantozzi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Acilia Town reached it. Damiano Castagna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Gallucci in the 31st minute of play. Acilia Town's Damiano Castagna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Punta in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francesco Gallucci in the 38th minute of play forced Acilia Town's goalkeeper Damiano Castagna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Ciro Punta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Damiano Castagna. Ciro Punta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 45th minute of the match, Emilio Oddi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Damiano Castagna was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emilio Oddi made a kick off. Francesco Gallucci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Aversa fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Aversa's Emilio Oddi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 60th minute Francesco Gallucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damiano Castagna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damiano Castagna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Punta in the 62nd minute of the match. The supporters of Aversa booed when Acilia Town was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Alleva didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Francesco Gallucci managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aversa's supporters rose to their feet, but Francesco Gallucci was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damiano Castagna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amedeo Mazza during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 69 minutes into the match, Acilia Town's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Oddi came free, but Damiano Castagna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damiano Castagna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emilio Oddi in the 71st minute of the match. Emilio Oddi took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Damiano Castagna. Damiano Castagna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 78th minute, Armando Villa made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Fantozzi. Aversa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Damiano Castagna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francesco Gallucci in the 82nd minute of play. After 83 minutes, Ciro Punta made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Acilia Town's Damiano Castagna tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Aversa fully deserved thier win.
