When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Camillo Travaglini sped through Glasgow Rangers FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ferruccio Carafa. Christian Pollastrini struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Ferruccio Carafa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Schuster. Ferruccio Carafa was a little too slow when Camillo Travaglini got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 2-0. Ferdinando Di Santo kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Glasgow Rangers FC's Comunardo Zollino got a free kick in the 19th minute. Filippo Di Girolamo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eraldo Monaco in the 21st minute of play. Filippo Di Girolamo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Comunardo Zollino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christian Pollastrini didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 4-0 via right post in the game's 23rd minute. Schuster's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Ferruccio Carafa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camillo Travaglini in the 30th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 35th minute of the game. One of Schuster:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Glasgow Rangers FC:s goal. In the 36th minute there was a penalty for Glasgow Rangers FC. Comunardo Zollino stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Filippo Di Girolamo. 4-1. In the 43rd minute, Camillo Travaglini fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ferruccio Carafa, passed just outside the right post. Glasgow Rangers FC's Ferruccio Carafa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camillo Travaglini in the 43rd minute of play. Ercole Grande might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferruccio Carafa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ercole Grande ran back to his position shaking his head. Christian Pollastrini in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ferruccio Carafa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Ercole Grande fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Schuster's protests and gave Ercole Grande a yellow card for diving instead. After 47 played minutes Schuster got a freekick which was hit by Ercole Grande. Glasgow Rangers FC's Alexander Paoletti was substituted for Aldo Marzoli. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eraldo Monaco was the one to do the kick off. Christian Pollastrini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Ferruccio Carafa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ferruccio Carafa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camillo Travaglini, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute Cristoforo Andreola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferruccio Carafa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuele Di Rado received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Filippo Di Girolamo came out and tried to block the shot, but Emanuele Di Rado slotted it home off the left post making it 4-2 in the 64th minute. Glasgow Rangers FC's Ferruccio Carafa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Pollastrini in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Pollastrini in the 71st minute of play forced Glasgow Rangers FC's goalkeeper Ferruccio Carafa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the game, Comunardo Zollino recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Filippo Di Girolamo. Comunardo Zollino showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-3. After 79 played minutes Glasgow Rangers FC got a freekick which was hit by Franco Ferrini. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Andrea Pierucci managed to get in a good position for a shot. Schuster's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrea Pierucci was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ferruccio Carafa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Damiano Capaldo fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Schuster's protests and gave Damiano Capaldo a yellow card for diving instead. Damiano Capaldo hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. A collision led to Schuster getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Edmondo Stella hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Dario Del Monaco sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Schuster's Filippo Di Girolamo didn't even have to move. In the 92nd minute, Alexander Paoletti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Schuster's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
