An unexpectedly hard shot by Camillo Travaglini in the 3rd minute of play forced US Albenga's goalkeeper Bernardo De Fina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the game, Christian Pollastrini cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Bernardo De Fina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Christian Pollastrini scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bernardo De Fina, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 15 played minutes Schuster got a freekick which was hit by Damiano Capaldo. Beppe Gulli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Filippo Di Girolamo. Schuster's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Camillo Travaglini had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernardo De Fina. US Albenga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Camillo Travaglini was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The supporters of Schuster booed when US Albenga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniele Molinario didn't get a good kick on the ball. US Albenga's Bernardo De Fina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camillo Travaglini in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match, Daniele Molinario tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Filippo Di Girolamo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of Schuster booed when US Albenga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Achille Causio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Camillo Travaglini made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rdth minute of the game Camillo Travaglini who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but US Albenga's Bernardo De Fina was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bernardo De Fina was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ercole Grande showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 54 minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, US Albenga's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Pollastrini came free, but Bernardo De Fina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 61 played minutes US Albenga got a freekick which was hit by Ciccio Mariano. A collision led to US Albenga getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Ciccio Mariano hit a great ball. Christian Pollastrini's late challenge caught a US Albenga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Pollastrini helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Schuster's Christian Pollastrini got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 65th match minute, US Albenga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felice Bottone to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute, Federico Gerosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute Ercole Grande shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo De Fina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo De Fina stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmondo Stella's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. After having played for 87 minutes, Beppe Gulli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. US Albenga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beppe Gulli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 91 minutes into the match, US Albenga's goalkeeper Bernardo De Fina had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Pollastrini. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Beppe Gulli managed to get in a good position for a shot. US Albenga's supporters rose to their feet, but Beppe Gulli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filippo Di Girolamo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Schuster's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
