If Alessio De Vecchis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniele Molinario in the 19th minute of play forced Gladiator FC's goalkeeper Angelo Marchegiani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th match minute, Gladiator FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amedeo Orlandi to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute of the match Ciccio Mariano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Angelo Marchegiani showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Angelo Marchegiani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alessio De Vecchis's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. US Albenga's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ferruccio Rinaldi 30 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Tatangelo in the 35th minute of play forced US Albenga's goalkeeper Bernardo De Fina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo De Fina was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Fabiano Tatangelo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabiano Tatangelo really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 39 minutes into the game, Ferruccio Rinaldi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Bernardo De Fina was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 44 minutes into the match, US Albenga's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Tatangelo came free, but Bernardo De Fina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniele Molinario was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to US Albenga getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Donato Mascitti hit a great ball. Felice Bottone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Angelo Marchegiani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Fabiano Tatangelo made a precise shot to the right of Bernardo De Fina. US Albenga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. When Enzo Guaita fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gladiator FC's protests and gave Enzo Guaita a yellow card for diving instead. Enzo Guaita hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. The supporters of Gladiator FC booed when US Albenga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Gerosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Tatangelo in the 85th minute of play forced US Albenga's goalkeeper Bernardo De Fina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, Aldo Ubriaco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gladiator FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After a rather tough play, US Albenga's Ciccio Mariano got a free kick in the 94th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gladiator FC had played much better football throughout.
