In the 15th minute of the match Comunardo Zollino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Franco Sarnelli skillfully saved the ball. In the 18th minute Amerigo Di Croce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Sarnelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franco Sarnelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Comunardo Zollino in the 19th minute. After 21 played minutes Glasgow Rangers FC got a freekick which was hit by Amerigo Di Croce. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Aurelio Di Lullo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alvise De Leonardis hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Franco Sarnelli came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Glasgow Rangers FC's Amerigo Di Croce. But to his dismay, Amerigo Di Croce quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuele Di Rado in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Franco Sarnelli saved Valdieri from getting behind. In the 64th minute, Amerigo Di Croce made a precise shot to the right of Franco Sarnelli. Valdieri's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. 71 minutes into the match, Amerigo Di Croce notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Valdieri's Franco Sarnelli. Franco Sarnelli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 77th match minute, Valdieri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emiliano Cara to maneuver through the defense.
