The audience thought a goal was coming when Hamid Mermet got free with Terry Grenot in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Los Feroces getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Thibaut Ackermann hit a great ball. Bruno Dugast came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Olympique Salonais's Jean-Marie Guerre. But to his dismay, Jean-Marie Guerre quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Jean-Marie Guerre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute Jolan Beaufils shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Dugast saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olympique Salonais's Terry Grenot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamid Mermet in the 42nd minute of play. When Olympique Salonais's Jean-Marie Guerre in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Los Feroces's goalie prevented a goal. After the first half Olympique Salonais were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean-Marie Guerre during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 52 played minutes Olympique Salonais got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Marie Guerre. Bruno Dugast made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lamine Barbarin in the 56th minute. Lamine Barbarin in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bruno Dugast, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a rather tough play, Olympique Salonais's Lamine Barbarin got a free kick in the 59th minute. Sylvain Jamot kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Olympique Salonais's Jean-Marie Guerre got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bruno Dugast made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Jean-Marie Guerre sent off a good shot on target. Jean-Marie Guerre took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bruno Dugast. Bruno Dugast dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 76 minutes into the match, Los Feroces's goal looked a bit too open when Lamine Barbarin came free, but Bruno Dugast reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Olympique Salonais's Jean-Marie Guerre nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bruno Dugast made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. When Rudy Kowalczyk fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Olympique Salonais's protests and gave Rudy Kowalczyk a yellow card for diving instead. If Rachid Vende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jolan Beaufils received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bruno Dugast came out and tried to block the shot, but Jolan Beaufils slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 93rd minute.
