An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Suchet in the 10th minute of play forced Ground Control's goalkeeper Cyril Garino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Youri Lignon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thomas Gascon having to make a save. Youri Lignon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Thomas Gascon made a huge save. Cyril Garino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blaise Castera's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After 30 played minutes Youri Lignon rounded R.C. Marseille's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. In the 32nd minute, Youri Lignon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Thomas Gascon. The goal made the score 2-0. Harry Gélis hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Sylvain Chiffoleau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harry Gélis hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. If Ewan Cuvier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of R.C. Marseille booed when Ground Control was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sylvain Chiffoleau didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Just Bazoge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Blaise Castera made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Omar Suchet had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cyril Garino. Ground Control's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Omar Suchet was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Youri Lignon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blaise Castera in the 61st minute of play forced Ground Control's goalkeeper Cyril Garino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Blaise Castera took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Cyril Garino to make any attempt to save it. In the 67th minute, R.C. Marseille's Omar Suchet dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Omar Suchet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Cyril Garino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Youri Lignon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 80th match minute, Ground Control was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thierry Fouet to maneuver through the defense. Ground Control's Cyril Garino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blaise Castera in the 82nd minute of play. A collision led to Ground Control getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Just Bazoge hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Omar Suchet managed to get in a good position for a shot. R.C. Marseille's supporters rose to their feet, but Omar Suchet was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cyril Garino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thomas Gascon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Youri Lignon in the 88th minute of the match.
