If Gregorio Gilesindo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With his leg Rosendo Esquipula managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Águilas Poblanas's Justo Sagrario fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Federico Quinten to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Federico Quinten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 60 minutes into the game, Cecilio Maties cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Rosendo Esquipula was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cecilio Maties took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rosendo Esquipula. Rosendo Esquipula dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Cecilio Maties fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rosendo Esquipula having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Justo Sagrario in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rosendo Esquipula saved Golden Generation from getting behind. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Águilas Poblanas fully deserved thier win.
