Jonas Rik started the match with the kick off. Eusebio Calvet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeremias Orzaize having to make a save. After 13 minutes of play, Hermosillo FC's Wilfredo Lluc made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jeremias Orzaize was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roman Seguinus during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Roman Seguinus kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cecilio Afonso in the 18th minute of play forced Vampiros Aztecas's goalkeeper Jeremias Orzaize to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Cecilio Afonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Orzaize saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Gustavo Lizar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hermosillo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustavo Lizar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremias Orzaize breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the match, Vampiros Aztecas's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Calvet came free, but Jeremias Orzaize reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mario Peli kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Jeremias Orzaize showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Afonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Enzo Cordarius kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Vampiros Aztecas's Jeremias Orzaize played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Primeiro in the 32nd minute of play. When Enzo Cordarius fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vampiros Aztecas's protests and gave Enzo Cordarius a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Vampiros Aztecas got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Ponce. A collision led to Vampiros Aztecas getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ildefonso Ponce hit a great ball. In the 45th match minute, Hermosillo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicanor Bernad to maneuver through the defense. In the 48th minute Cecilio Afonso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremias Orzaize saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cecilio Afonso was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Hermosillo FC's Nicanor Bernad got a free kick in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute, Wilfredo Lluc made a precise shot to the right of Jeremias Orzaize. Vampiros Aztecas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Hermosillo FC's Cecilio Afonso was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 66th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Cecilio Afonsos short, quick shot in the 70thth minute got Jeremias Orzaize to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vampiros Aztecas's Jeremias Orzaize proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Vampiros Aztecas from getting a goal against them. In the 72nd minute, Enzo Cordarius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the game, Mateo Primeiro recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jeremias Orzaize. Mateo Primeiro showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Jeremias Orzaize made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cecilio Afonso in the 83rd minute of play. Jeremias Orzaize was out of position in the 86 minute of play, and Cecilio Afonso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cecilio Afonso really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Vampiros Aztecas's goalkeeper Jeremias Orzaize, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Ildefonso Ponce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Hermosillo FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vampiros Aztecas throughout the match.
