Cecilio Afonso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Araoz having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cacomixtles de Queretaro's zone, Mateo Primeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicasio Araoz came out of the goal and Mateo Primeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 29 minutes, Gustavo Lizar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hermosillo FC and the Cacomixtles de Queretaro players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Cacomixtles de Queretaro booed when Hermosillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Lizar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvano Benat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Formerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. With a little luck, Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Nicasio Araoz got control of the ball when Eusebio Calvet tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th minute Melquiades Peruxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Benat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Cristian Gutierrez got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute of the match Saturnino Endura sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicasio Araoz skillfully saved the ball. Nicasio Araoz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cecilio Afonso's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Nicasio Araoz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecilio Afonso in the 46th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wilfredo Lluc during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Wilfredo Lluc kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cecilio Afonso made a kick off. Mateo Primeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes into the match, Cacomixtles de Queretaro's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Primeiro came free, but Nicasio Araoz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st play minute Haroldo Formerio came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Silvano Benat. 2-1. In the 73rdth minute of the game Cecilio Afonso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Nicasio Araoz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 74th minute, Gustavo Lizar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th minute, Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Melquiades Peruxu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cecilio Afonso in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicasio Araoz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Cacomixtles de Queretaro getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Isaac Quinten hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Isaac Quinten could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Silvano Benat however easily saved by the left post. After 89 played minutes Hermosillo FC got a freekick which was hit by Wilfredo Lluc. Silvano Benat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Asur in the 90th minute of the match. Saturnino Endura kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
