The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Vampiros Aztecas's Fabricio Gervaso got a free kick in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Christian Asur sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeremias Orzaize narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 16 minutes into the match, Vampiros Aztecas's goalkeeper Jeremias Orzaize had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Melquiades Peruxu. Jeremias Orzaize made an important save on a dangerous shot by Melquiades Peruxu in the 22nd minute. Nicasio Araoz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Rik, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Godofredo Videl kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 30 minutes into the game, Nicolas Veto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vampiros Aztecas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cacomixtles de Queretaro the free kick. After 30 played minutes Vampiros Aztecas got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Veto. Jeremias Orzaize took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Formerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Nicasio Araoz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Rik in the 41st minute of play. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cacomixtles de Queretaro's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Braulio Txerran was slow to take the kick. During this time Vampiros Aztecas's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Braulio Txerran got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Nicasio Araoz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jonas Rik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonas Rik made a kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Jonas Rik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cacomixtles de Queretaro's Nicasio Araoz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Vampiros Aztecas's Jonas Rik in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cacomixtles de Queretaro's goalie prevented a goal. Godofredo Videl hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. 56 minutes in the game, Ruben Garin fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Nicasio Araoz having to interfere. After 62 played minutes Vampiros Aztecas got a freekick which was hit by Jonas Rik. Nicasio Araoz didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 67th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. The supporters of Cacomixtles de Queretaro booed when Vampiros Aztecas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Veto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jairo Errapel's late challenge caught a Cacomixtles de Queretaro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jairo Errapel helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vampiros Aztecas's Jairo Errapel got a free kick in the 74th minute. Jeremias Orzaize showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Formerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Valentin Florin charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valentin Florin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 87th minute, Valentin Florin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeremias Orzaize showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Formerio in the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Cacomixtles de Queretaro's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Jonas Rik fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Nicasio Araoz was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Jonas Rik capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jonas Rik really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vampiros Aztecas had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
