Real Ayuntamiento CF's Marcos Licerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timoteo Pero in the 8th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ORIZABA F.C.'s Timoteo Pero got a free kick in the 12th minute. Marcos Licerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervasio Sazon, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Javier Rosario hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domingo Lluques hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Romeo Iruinea took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Marcelino Domeka to make any attempt to save it. In the 37th minute Romeo Iruinea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Domeka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39thth minute of the game Timoteo Pero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Ayuntamiento CF's Marcos Licerio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maximo Cai to make the kick off. Marcelino Domeka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romeo Iruinea in the 53rd minute of the match. When Honorio Cordeara fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Ayuntamiento CF's protests and gave Honorio Cordeara a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th minute, Honorio Cordeara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Rosario in the 57th minute of play forced Real Ayuntamiento CF's goalkeeper Marcos Licerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th match minute, Real Ayuntamiento CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorio Cordeara to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 61 minutes, Vinicio Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Ayuntamiento CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinicio Lopes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcelino Domeka showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Lopes in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Gervasio Sazon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Federico Lobo came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Real Ayuntamiento CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Lobo couldn't finish the play. After 92 played minutes Real Ayuntamiento CF got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Iruinea. The crowd rose to their feet as Ovidio Deunoro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Marcos Licerio. That made the score 1-1 in the 94 minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
