When Gervasio Sazon fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ORIZABA F.C.'s protests and gave Gervasio Sazon a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, Gervasio Sazon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee ignored San Pablo FC's protests and gave Conrado Bermudo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to San Pablo FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Conrado Bermudo hit a great ball. The ORIZABA F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. San Pablo FC were winning 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victoriano Feo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Victoriano Feo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelino Domeka was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Fausto Martxot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gervasio Sazon, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. San Pablo FC's Conrado Bermudo got his second yellow card of the match in the 60th minute. The referee ordered Conrado Bermudo off the ground. After 61 played minutes San Pablo FC got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Bermudo. In the 62nd minute Javier Rosario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Martxot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Emanuel Eutor charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emanuel Eutor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidio Deunoro in the 88th minute of play forced San Pablo FC's goalkeeper Fausto Martxot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. San Pablo FC's Fausto Martxot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Deunoro in the 90th minute of play. After some careless play in the San Pablo FC defense, Javier Rosario kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fausto Martxot. The San Pablo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fausto Martxot should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that ORIZABA F.C. were the better team. ORIZABA F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
