In the 3rd minute, Rubén Puerta made a precise shot to the right of López Enciso. Loja S.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Xeromo Agraña hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Fabio Ponce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Lombera in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute Norberto Buitrago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Ponce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Fabio Ponce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Lombera in the 12th minute of play. López Enciso came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Perlaza Corcoba. But to his dismay, Perlaza Corcoba quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. López Enciso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector-Luis Cadrecha in the 18th minute of play. Loja S.C.'s López Enciso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubén Puerta in the 23rd minute of play. Norberto Buitrago kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Perlaza Corcoba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Perlaza Corcoba in the 48th minute of play forced Loja S.C.'s goalkeeper López Enciso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

In the 53rd minute, Perlaza Corcoba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. López Enciso was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Perlaza Corcoba recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, López Enciso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Hector-Luis Cadrecha got free in front of the goal in the 64th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. López Enciso was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. López Enciso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector-Luis Cadrecha in the 66th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Norberto Buitrago managed to get in a good position for a shot. Loja S.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Norberto Buitrago was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Ponce breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Loja S.C. getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Zornin Calona hit a great ball. After 76 minutes of play, Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato's Perlaza Corcoba made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. López Enciso was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 79th minute, Rubén Puerta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Jorge Berroa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by George Galera from long distance, 84 minutes into the match, got López Enciso's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Zornin Calona fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Loja S.C.'s protests and gave Zornin Calona a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes Loja S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Zornin Calona. López Enciso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xeromo Agraña in the 93rd minute. When the final whistle sounded Lechero«ISTDG» Ambato left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Loja S.C..
