Mendez Gamones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramos Berrio in the 5th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the game, Salas Justo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joffre Viñambres. Salas Justo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 20 minutes into the game, Rosero Castillo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. YerBaTerOs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eléctricos F.C. the free kick. Jerson Iturbide kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. YerBaTerOs's Mendez Gamones played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramos Berrio in the 26th minute of play. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind YerBaTerOs's goalkeeper Mendez Gamones, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mendez Gamones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerson Iturbide in the 36th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in YerBaTerOs's zone, Xzaiver Guisla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mendez Gamones came out of the goal and Xzaiver Guisla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mendez Gamones took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramos Berrio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Jerson Iturbide's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mendez Gamones was relentless in the 45th minute of the game. In the 46th minute Ramos Berrio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mendez Gamones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ramos Berrio to make the kick off. Ramos Berrio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Mendez Gamones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mendez Gamones showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubelteso Ribadas, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Ramos Berrio who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Mendez Gamones when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jerson Iturbide received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Mendez Gamones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mendez Gamones made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramos Berrio in the 69th minute. Eléctricos F.C.'s Ubelteso Ribadas got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramos Berrio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Mendez Gamones made a huge save. If Ramos Berrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramos Berrio got free with Mendez Gamones in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 86th minute, Ramos Berrio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mendez Gamones was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
