The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Iachetti Riart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th minute, Audaz FC's Patricio Nogueira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roldan Barreto. Roldan Barreto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 14 minutes into the game, Audaz FC's Urritz Villaran nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roldan Barreto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. A collision led to Audaz FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Urritz Villaran hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Ambrossi Colina made a precise shot to the right of Vitin Colsa. Audaz FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. When Reasco Abres came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Club Deportivo Santiago fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reasco Abres couldn't finish the play. Audaz FC's Vitin Colsa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iachetti Riart in the 32nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Audaz FC's zone, Mauricio Irizarry stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitin Colsa came out of the goal and Mauricio Irizarry tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Urritz Villaran to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Club Deportivo Santiago's Iachetti Riart ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vitin Colsa. Vitin Colsa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. In the 64th match minute, Audaz FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Santiago's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Pro came free, but Roldan Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Walme Jaquinot was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Deportivo Santiago's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Audaz FC the free kick. Criban Gandulla took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roldan Barreto. Roldan Barreto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. After a rather tough play, Audaz FC's Teofilo Carrillo got a free kick in the 78th minute. Urritz Villaran took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roldan Barreto. Roldan Barreto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Santiago's Reasco Abres got a free kick in the 91st minute. Vergaray Esquide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Audaz FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Deportivo Santiago had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
