When Jaime Roig came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the NAGANO F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Roig couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Mario Borniquell's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romero Bolante was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 31st minute, Jairo Villavedon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romero Bolante was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 44th minute, Pedro Trabado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geancarlos Valgoma to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Xacintu Cerdeiras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Golozos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NAGANO F.C the free kick. NAGANO F.C's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
