Daniel Elizondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustavo Cintron in the 3rd minute of play. Daniel Elizondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Cintron, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Silvio Ilisarri charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvio Ilisarri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, CD Suscal's Silvio Ilisarri got a free kick in the 9th minute. After 10th play minutes Gustavo Cintron shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Daniel Elizondo and just under the crossbar into goal. Daniel Elizondo came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Puerto Quito's Gustavo Cintron. But to his dismay, Gustavo Cintron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in CD Suscal's zone, Gustavo Cintron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Elizondo came out of the goal and Gustavo Cintron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20th minute, Maximiliano Carranza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xantalen Carballo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Daniel Elizondo. CD Suscal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Daniel Elizondo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vitin Martin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Zornin Morentin fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Puerto Quito's protests and gave Zornin Morentin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of CD Suscal booed when Club Puerto Quito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zornin Morentin didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Frutos Andres from long distance, 24 minutes into the match, got Urbes Cenzano's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Xefe Borica came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the CD Suscal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xefe Borica couldn't finish the play. A throw-in in the 27th minute of the game was made by Pepito Plasencia with Vitin Martin as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 31 minutes into the match, CD Suscal's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Cintron came free, but Daniel Elizondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Elizondo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Cintron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Urbes Cenzano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xefe Borica, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After 41 played minutes CD Suscal got a freekick which was hit by Frutos Andres. Zabal Boliaga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Daniel Elizondo. CD Suscal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Club Puerto Quito's Gustavo Cintron in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CD Suscal's goalie prevented a goal. In the 44th match minute, CD Suscal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frutos Andres to maneuver through the defense. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CD Suscal! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Vitin Martin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 58 minutes into the match, CD Suscal's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Cintron came free, but Daniel Elizondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustavo Cintron scored 0-3 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniel Elizondo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 63 minutes into the game, Gustavo Cintron cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Daniel Elizondo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 67 minutes, Gustavo Cintron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Puerto Quito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Cintron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Cintron in the 68th minute of play forced CD Suscal's goalkeeper Daniel Elizondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Elizondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Cintron, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Geovanny Moracia hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. A collision led to CD Suscal getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Frutos Andres hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in CD Suscal's zone, Gustavo Cintron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Elizondo came out of the goal and Gustavo Cintron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. CD Suscal's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Gustavo Cintron 82 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. Daniel Elizondo was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Zabal Boliaga capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Zabal Boliaga really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. With his leg Daniel Elizondo managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Club Puerto Quito's Gustavo Cintron fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gustavo Cintron who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 93rdth minute tested the skills of Daniel Elizondo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Club Puerto Quito's Vitin Martin got a free kick in the 95th minute. The Club Puerto Quito players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
