Spectators: 193 (Terracing: 146, Seating: 44, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Abel Espejo started the match with the kick off. After 7 minutes, Amancio Achondo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barrio Norte FC and the Club Deportes Santa Cruz players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute José Antonio Porras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaspar Babul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaspar Babul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clemencín Varas, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After 13 minutes of play, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's José Antonio Porras made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gaspar Babul was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalkeeper Teodosio Cerda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Clemencín Varas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Espejo came free, but Teodosio Cerda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Amancio Achondo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute of the match Raimundo Backhouse shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gaspar Babul showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clemencín Varas to make the kick off. Teodosio Cerda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Telo Pongó in the 53rd minute of play. Gaspar Babul took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Antonio Porras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 62 minutes of play, Barrio Norte FC's Telo Pongó made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teodosio Cerda was left in no man's land by his defense there! 67 minutes into the match, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Clemencín Varas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaspar Babul narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Eufemio Carmona fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barrio Norte FC's protests and gave Eufemio Carmona a yellow card for diving instead. Teodosio Cerda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telo Pongó in the 75th minute of the match. After 75 played minutes Barrio Norte FC got a freekick which was hit by Eufemio Carmona. After a rather tough play, Barrio Norte FC's Abel Espejo got a free kick in the 77th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's José Antonio Porras sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gaspar Babul narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Barrio Norte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Clemencín Varas came free, but Gaspar Babul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amancio Achondo kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. The supporters of Club Deportes Santa Cruz booed when Barrio Norte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amancio Achondo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barrio Norte FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
