An unexpectedly hard shot by Pate Vaca in the 21st minute of play forced Cobresal's goalkeeper Zavier Prenafeta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Mercurio Miquel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pol Botero hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. The supporters of Lautaro L.P. booed when Cobresal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Sologuren didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 27 minutes of play, Cobresal's Mercurio Miquel made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Podador Santelices was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a little luck, Cobresal's Zavier Prenafeta got control of the ball when Pate Vaca tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 34th minute, Miquel Alert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Podador Santelices made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Sologuren in the 36th minute of play. Mercurio Miquel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Podador Santelices tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Cobresal booed when Lautaro L.P. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Asimov didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Pate Vaca made the kick off in the second half. Zavier Prenafeta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pol Botero in the 52nd minute of the match. 54 minutes into the game, Doctor Arteche cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Zavier Prenafeta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 57th minute, Juan Jose Navarro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lautaro L.P. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 62 minutes into the match, Bruno Sologuren notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Lautaro L.P.'s Podador Santelices. Podador Santelices was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 65th minute Doctor Arteche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zavier Prenafeta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mercurio Miquel fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cobresal's protests and gave Mercurio Miquel a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Cobresal getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Mercurio Miquel hit a great ball. Zavier Prenafeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doctor Arteche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zavier Prenafeta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pate Vaca in the 89th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Doctor Arteche had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zavier Prenafeta. Cobresal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Doctor Arteche was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. In the 94th minute, Juan Jose Navarro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zavier Prenafeta was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2.
