After 5 minutes of play, General Velásquez's Pere Sáenz made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Domingo Tolhauzsen was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of General Velásquez booed when C.D. Pepino’s was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xulián Farias didn't get a good kick on the ball. C.D. Pepino’s's Domingo Tolhauzsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pere Sáenz in the 13th minute of play. Domingo Tolhauzsen made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Horacio Unzaga sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alarico Laso de la Vega got free with Domingo Tolhauzsen in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, General Velásquez's Hanamichi Sakuragi got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute, General Velásquez's Carmelo Avalos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Domingo Tolhauzsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Avalos in the 33rd minute of play. 35 minutes into the game, Gustavo Chacaltana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Domingo Tolhauzsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 43 minutes, Xulián Farias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.D. Pepino’s and the General Velásquez players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, C.D. Pepino’s's Xulián Farias got a free kick in the 43rd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reces Mondaca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carmelo Avalos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 54th minute, Pere Sáenz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Domingo Tolhauzsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. General Velásquez's Miquel Jaña was substituted for Alarico Laso de la Vega. In the 62nd minute, Reinaldo Recalde hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domingo Tolhauzsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Avalos in the 64th minute of play. Domingo Tolhauzsen came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by General Velásquez's Pere Sáenz. But to his dismay, Pere Sáenz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. After some careless play in the C.D. Pepino’s defense, Horacio Unzaga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Domingo Tolhauzsen. The C.D. Pepino’s fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Domingo Tolhauzsen should have stopped the shot. In the 91st match minute, C.D. Pepino’s was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xulián Farias to maneuver through the defense. Pere Sáenz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingo Tolhauzsen having to interfere. In the 95th minute, C.D. Pepino’s's Mercurio Isasiguia dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 9-1. There was no doubt that General Velásquez were the better team. General Velásquez's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
