Pol Botero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gerard Costa having to make a save. Ariano Buzeta lost his temper 8 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Gerard Costa went to the wrong direction when Doctor Arteche was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Pate Vaca notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Gerard Costa. Gerard Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 15 minutes into the match, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goal looked a bit too open when Pate Vaca came free, but Gerard Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Pol Botero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gerard Costa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 21 minutes of play, Lautaro L.P.'s Juan Jose Navarro made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerard Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 24th minute, Pate Vaca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 29 minutes into the game, Pol Botero cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Gerard Costa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gerard Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pate Vaca in the 33rd minute of the match. The supporters of FC Anderlecht Huachipato booed when Lautaro L.P. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pol Botero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Juan Jose Navarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Gerard Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Gerard Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doctor Arteche in the 40th minute of play. In the 44th minute Juan Jose Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gerard Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lautaro L.P.'s Pol Botero got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orlín De la Cruz was the one to do the kick off. Pate Vaca who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Gerard Costa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Gerard Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doctor Arteche in the 59th minute of play. Doctor Arteche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Gerard Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Gerard Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doctor Arteche in the 62nd minute of play. Lautaro L.P.'s Podador Santelices played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yoel Quilempan in the 63rd minute of play. Doctor Arteche's late challenge caught a FC Anderlecht Huachipato's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Doctor Arteche helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Lautaro L.P. getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Doctor Arteche hit a great ball. Pate Vaca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Gerard Costa made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juan Jose Navarro got free with Gerard Costa in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the FC Anderlecht Huachipato defense, Pate Vaca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerard Costa. The FC Anderlecht Huachipato fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerard Costa should have stopped the shot. Gerard Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pol Botero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Gerard Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save FC Anderlecht Huachipato from getting a goal against them. FC Anderlecht Huachipato's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Doctor Arteche scored to the left of an out of position Gerard Costa, making the score, 0-6. 86 minutes into the game, Doctor Arteche recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Gerard Costa. Doctor Arteche showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. After 90 played minutes FC Anderlecht Huachipato got a freekick which was hit by Xalvador Teran. With an all-out effort, Lautaro L.P.'s Gerard Costa threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Doctor Arteche, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gerard Costa was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Doctor Arteche capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Doctor Arteche really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. The FC Anderlecht Huachipato fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lautaro L.P. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
