In the 18th minute, Quim Escalante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alarico Laso de la Vega had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerard Costa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pere Sáenz's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Hanamichi Sakuragi hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Carmelo Avalos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The General Velásquez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Gerard Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustacio Delgado in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, FC Anderlecht Huachipato's goal looked a bit too open when Pere Sáenz came free, but Gerard Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Alarico Laso de la Vega got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. General Velásquez's Miquel Jaña was substituted for Alarico Laso de la Vega. 63 minutes into the match, Pere Sáenz notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of FC Anderlecht Huachipato's Gerard Costa. Gerard Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match clock showed 68 minutes, the score became 7-0 when Pere Sáenz sped through FC Anderlecht Huachipato's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gerard Costa. Carmelo Avalos scored 9-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gerard Costa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gerard Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 91 minutes of play, General Velásquez's Pere Sáenz made it 11-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gerard Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, General Velásquez's Máximo Acosta got a free kick in the 94th minute.
