After 2 played minutes Talcampeón FC got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Larraguibel. 5 minutes into the game, Talcampeón FC's Roberto Larraguibel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adelio Palomino made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Alipio Hevia kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Talcampeón FC's Cosme Mella broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roberto Larraguibel in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adelio Palomino saved Dragones Celestes from getting behind. In the 26th minute, Roy Elgueta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sandro Asenjo. The goal made the score 1-1. Sandro Asenjo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roy Elgueta in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute, Roberto Larraguibel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, Simón Mendoza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barni Porter lost his temper 42 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Barni Porter kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Cosme Mella managed to get in a good position for a shot. Talcampeón FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cosme Mella was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adelio Palomino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adelio Palomino came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Talcampeón FC's Roberto Larraguibel. But to his dismay, Roberto Larraguibel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roberto Larraguibel to strike the kick off in the second half. Sebastián Boroevic hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Adelio Palomino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anselmo Garmendia in the 57th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Cosme Mella was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Talcampeón FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dragones Celestes the free kick. Cosme Mella kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Sandro Asenjo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Elgueta in the 65th minute of play. Roy Elgueta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dragones Celestes's Roy Elgueta got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Roy Elgueta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandro Asenjo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roy Elgueta's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Roy Elgueta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roy Elgueta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Roy Elgueta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dragones Celestes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Talcampeón FC the free kick. In the 90th match minute, Dragones Celestes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roy Elgueta to maneuver through the defense. After 92 played minutes Dragones Celestes got a freekick which was hit by Sebastián Boroevic. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Talcampeón FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
