After 3 minutes, Eriberto Rast made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Talcampeón FC's Rutenio Poveda tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Rutenio Poveda was a little too slow when Ian Gillan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 8th minute. The score was now 2-0. 11 minutes in the game, Bairon Bernales fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rutenio Poveda having to interfere. When Eriberto Rast, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 11 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Rutenio Poveda was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Talcampeón FC's Ysmael Peraza got a free kick in the 17th minute. Rutenio Poveda was a little too slow when Bairon Bernales got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 3-0. Eriberto Rast blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rutenio Poveda having to make a save. Eriberto Rast could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Rutenio Poveda made a huge save. In the 25th minute, Cosme Mella got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Inter de Chillán booed when Talcampeón FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ysmael Peraza didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 31st minute, Sandro Asenjo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amado Mas, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Rutenio Poveda was a little too slow when Ian Gillan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 34th minute. The score was now 4-0. Ysmael Peraza charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ysmael Peraza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Talcampeón FC's Ysmael Peraza got a free kick in the 41st minute. Rutenio Poveda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto Rast in the 42nd minute of play. José Francisco Maffey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Odón Mackenzie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
Inter de Chillán's Eriberto Rast got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the game, Inter de Chillán's Eriberto Rast nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rutenio Poveda made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. In the 59th minute Eriberto Rast shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rutenio Poveda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eriberto Rast in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rutenio Poveda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bairon Bernales took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rutenio Poveda. Rutenio Poveda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. 66 minutes into the game, Eriberto Rast cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Rutenio Poveda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Talcampeón FC booed when Inter de Chillán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eriberto Rast didn't get a good kick on the ball. Talcampeón FC's Rutenio Poveda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bairon Bernales in the 74th minute of play. Yeray Lisperguer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odón Mackenzie having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Inter de Chillán's goal looked a bit too open when Yeray Lisperguer came free, but Odón Mackenzie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute Yeray Lisperguer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Odón Mackenzie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Odón Mackenzie was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Yeray Lisperguer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 7-1 in the 82 minute of play. Talcampeón FC's Rutenio Poveda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Gillan in the 88th minute of play. Odón Mackenzie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Francisco Maffey, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Inter de Chillán walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
