Lorenzo Karmy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Remi Astudillo in the 36th minute. In the 40th minute, Eduardo Ansieta made a precise shot to the right of Prudentio Telaeche. Club Deportes La Serena's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. The referee felt a red card was in order, 45 minutes into the game, when Ondino Giron put in a rough tackle. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Genaro Aránguiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Prudentio Telaeche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Ansieta in the 52nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Roldán Soriano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Prudentio Telaeche. That made the score 1-5 in the 54 minute of play. Prudentio Telaeche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roldán Soriano, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Club Deportes La Serena's Prudentio Telaeche proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportes La Serena from getting a goal against them. The SHOOT SPEED KILL LIGHT players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
