After a rather tough play, AFC Richmond's Saverio Beiza got a free kick in the 9th minute. After having played for 10 minutes, Remi Astudillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Deportes La Serena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remi Astudillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th match minute, AFC Richmond was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Lynch to maneuver through the defense. Domenico Macuer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prudentio Telaeche having to interfere. In the 17th minute, one of Club Deportes La Serena:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Club Deportes La Serena. In the 23rd minute, Genaro Aránguiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Omar Pedraza was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. AFC Richmond's Omar Pedraza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Genaro Aránguiz in the 27th minute of play. Omar Pedraza was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Genaro Aránguiz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Genaro Aránguiz really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. When Club Deportes La Serena's Genaro Aránguiz in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AFC Richmond's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to AFC Richmond getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Víctor Javier Waiben hit a great ball. If Florín Pretot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 played minutes Club Deportes La Serena got a freekick which was hit by Geraldo Alcázar. When Saverio Beiza fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AFC Richmond's protests and gave Saverio Beiza a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, AFC Richmond's Saverio Beiza got a free kick in the 44th minute. Omar Pedraza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Aránguiz in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

AFC Richmond's Amato Gamboa was substituted for Roberto Siengelo. Amato Gamboa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 56 minutes into the game, Yeray Federici was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Deportes La Serena's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AFC Richmond the free kick. The supporters of AFC Richmond booed when Club Deportes La Serena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yeray Federici didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Albis struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Prudentio Telaeche didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AFC Richmond. Cristofer Berecedo hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Omar Pedraza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Aránguiz in the 64th minute of the match. After 65 played minutes AFC Richmond got a freekick which was hit by Domenico Macuer. Club Deportes La Serena's Ismael Nazario Deves was substituted for Florín Pretot. Omar Pedraza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Genaro Aránguiz in the 70th minute of play. In the 72ndth minute of the game Genaro Aránguiz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AFC Richmond's Omar Pedraza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 76 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Ismael Nazario Deves sped through AFC Richmond's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Omar Pedraza. 80 minutes into the match, Genaro Aránguiz notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of AFC Richmond's Omar Pedraza. Omar Pedraza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Omar Pedraza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Aránguiz in the 84th minute of the match. After 85 minutes of play, Club Deportes La Serena's Genaro Aránguiz made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Omar Pedraza was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 92nd minute Genaro Aránguiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Pedraza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Genaro Aránguiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportes La Serena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. When the referee ended the match the Club Deportes La Serena players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
