The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Zenaido Urtiaran made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Anastasio Zarain sent off a good shot on target. Suero Trifol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quinito Folch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joseph Artolozaga hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Zenaido Urtiaran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yoel Serdio in the 20th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Criston Olloqui in the 25th minute of play forced Montevideo City Torque's goalkeeper Zenaido Urtiaran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Suero Trifol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Quinito Folch, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Anastasio Zarain came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Pando CNdeF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anastasio Zarain couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Pando CNdeF's zone, Gonzales Alfeiran stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Suero Trifol came out of the goal and Gonzales Alfeiran tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With an all-out effort, Pando CNdeF's Zenaido Urtiaran threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Criston Olloqui, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.

56 minutes into the match, Oliviero Caño had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zenaido Urtiaran. Montevideo City Torque's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oliviero Caño was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 61st minute Yoel Serdio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenaido Urtiaran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 63 minutes, Urbasa Echague mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pando CNdeF and the Montevideo City Torque players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Montevideo City Torque booed when Pando CNdeF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbasa Echague didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Pando CNdeF's Joseph Artolozaga got a free kick in the 70th minute. When Guilllermo Llamosas came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Montevideo City Torque fans jumped to their feet. Anastasio Zarain kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match.
