In the 9th minute, Marcelo Zalayeta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Peñarol FIFV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Marcelo Zalayeta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelo Zalayeta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Suero Trifol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pando CNdeF's Suero Trifol proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Pando CNdeF from getting a goal against them. Napier Esqueda hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute of the match, Victorino Caravantes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Suero Trifol saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 32nd minute, Marcelo Zalayeta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35thth minute of the game Marcelo Zalayeta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pando CNdeF's Suero Trifol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcelo Zalayeta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Suero Trifol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Marcelo Zalayeta could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Suero Trifol however easily saved by the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelo Zalayeta made a kick off. Pando CNdeF's Suero Trifol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Mateo in the 60th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Pando CNdeF's goal looked a bit too open when Marcelo Zalayeta came free, but Suero Trifol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Denis Mateo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Pando CNdeF booed when Deportivo Peñarol FIFV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Mateo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Suero Trifol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damián Macaluso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Pando CNdeF's Pello Susvilla got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 82nd minute, Denis Mateo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Pando CNdeF defense, Marcelo Zalayeta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Suero Trifol. The Pando CNdeF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Suero Trifol should have stopped the shot. Suero Trifol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Zalayeta in the 92nd minute of the match. Marcelo Zalayeta struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Suero Trifol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Peñarol FIFV. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
