The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th match minute, Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zenon Señor to maneuver through the defense. Nacional's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ConChanfle FC the free kick. In the 9th minute, Mero Tenorio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odol Machicao in the 11th minute of play forced Nacional's goalkeeper Gaufred Sagarteguieta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Rafel Franquis sped through Nacional's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gaufred Sagarteguieta. Gaufred Sagarteguieta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tito Cajigal in the 20th minute of the match. Omar Patiño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gaufred Sagarteguieta having to interfere. Gaufred Sagarteguieta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Odol Machicao, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Gaufred Sagarteguieta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tito Cajigal in the 28th minute of play. Gaufred Sagarteguieta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Odol Machicao in the 29th minute of the match. Mauricio Panero's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Xosepe Moreda skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gaufred Sagarteguieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Odol Machicao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ConChanfle FC's Xosepe Moreda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mendebal Larrechi in the 44th minute of play. Zuriko Ballin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xosepe Moreda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Panero in the 48th minute of the match. The Nacional players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ConChanfle FC were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Mauricio Panero made the kick off in the second half. If Mero Tenorio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mero Tenorio kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Odol Machicao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Gaufred Sagarteguieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Mero Tenorio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xosepe Moreda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gaufred Sagarteguieta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafel Franquis's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. After 93 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nacional! Nacional:s Gaufred Sagarteguieta showed great skill when he stopped Bertran Baracaldo:s penalty. 95 minutes into the match, Bertran Baracaldo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gaufred Sagarteguieta. Nacional's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bertran Baracaldo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The ConChanfle FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ConChanfle FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
