Spectators: 184 (Terracing: 139, Seating: 42, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Frichoso Novo kicked off to start the match. In the 18th match minute, Mete y Raspa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natal Tuñon to maneuver through the defense. When Nemesio Echague fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mete y Raspa FC's protests and gave Nemesio Echague a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Nemesio Echague hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute, Frichoso Novo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37th minute, Mauricio Panero left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nacional fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 44th minute, Xulio Huelga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half Nacional were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauricio Panero was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Panero. In the 52nd match minute, Mete y Raspa FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erlantz Allo to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mendebal Larrechi in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enrique Sobrido prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Mete y Raspa FC booed when Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mendebal Larrechi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 60 minutes of play, Mete y Raspa FC's Erlantz Allo made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gaufred Sagarteguieta was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gaufred Sagarteguieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruisko Barela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Frichoso Novo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaufred Sagarteguieta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frichoso Novo in the 72nd minute of the match. Mero Tenorio kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 75th match minute, Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saturnino Vizcaino to maneuver through the defense. Saturnino Vizcaino's late challenge caught a Mete y Raspa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Saturnino Vizcaino helped the player get up and apologised. After 77 played minutes Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Saturnino Vizcaino. In the 78th minute, Oinaz Goicoolea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frichoso Novo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Nacional getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Saturnino Vizcaino hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Natal Tuñon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mete y Raspa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Natal Tuñon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gaufred Sagarteguieta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Anselmo Llantada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Nacional supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nacional would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
