Vanadio F.C.'s Christian Arratia got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hanni Borrego could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Cugat Cardet made a huge save. Vanadio F.C.'s Cugat Cardet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enetz Diestro in the 29th minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Benjamin Lemos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vanadio F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Lemos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Austral FC's Leobardo Braña got a free kick in the 40th minute. After 41 played minutes, Vanadio F.C.'s Txaran Herenchun shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rigoberto Leal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vanadio F.C. reached it. A collision led to Austral FC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Leobardo Braña hit a great ball. Txaran Herenchun took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rigoberto Leal. Austral FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Benjamin Lemos put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Rigoberto Leal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
