In the 8th minute Pere Torne shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lorenzo Fuerte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Natal Arrieta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gora Pijuan in the 10th minute of play. With 12 minutes on the clock, Ruisko Remirez commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a rather tough play, Laion Social Club's Ruisko Remirez got a free kick in the 13th minute. Bibiano Alija kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Natal Arrieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgardo Partearroyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the game, Laion Social Club's Uzuri Gauna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lorenzo Fuerte made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. A collision led to Laion Social Club getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Gervasio Castañeda hit a great ball. Lorenzo Fuerte came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Laion Social Club's Uzuri Gauna. But to his dismay, Uzuri Gauna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 39th minute, I.A.S.A's Bibiano Alija dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Natal Arrieta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bibiano Alija in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Uzuri Gauna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Laion Social Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Uzuri Gauna was the one to do the kick off. Zeledon Campano struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Lorenzo Fuerte didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Laion Social Club. In the 53rd play minute Uzuri Gauna came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Lorenzo Fuerte. 1-4. 57 minutes into the match, Laion Social Club's goal looked a bit too open when Pirmin Merayo came free, but Natal Arrieta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgardo Partearroyo in the 58th minute of play forced Laion Social Club's goalkeeper Natal Arrieta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Laion Social Club's Zeledon Campano ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lorenzo Fuerte. Lorenzo Fuerte yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. The supporters of I.A.S.A booed when Laion Social Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derwin Bao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gora Pijuan, 63 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Laion Social Club's Uzuri Gauna got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 66 played minutes Laion Social Club got a freekick which was hit by Mauro Otero. In the 67th minute of the match Gora Pijuan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Natal Arrieta skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mauro Otero during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mauro Otero hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. The supporters of I.A.S.A booed when Laion Social Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Derwin Bao didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uzuri Gauna was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 83rd minute. Laion Social Club's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Pere Depino made in the 89th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Zeru Burbua. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pirmin Merayo during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Uzuri Gauna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Lorenzo Fuerte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Laion Social Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Laion Social Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
