In the 35thth minute of the game Mercurio Caraballo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON's Arturo Gordo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arturo Gordo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mercurio Caraballo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Endira Freire to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Laion Social Club's goal looked a bit too open when Endira Freire came free, but Natal Arrieta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of PEÑAROL ORO Y CARBON booed when Laion Social Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natal Arrieta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Endira Freire, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Arturo Gordo made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Mauro Otero sent off a good shot on target. In the 94th minute, Endira Freire ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Natal Arrieta was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0.
